What is Shani Sade Sati?
Sade Sati means the transit of Saturn through the twelfth, first and second signs counted inclusively from the natal Moon sign. Each sign stay is roughly two and a half years, giving the familiar seven-and-a-half-year name. Actual durations vary with Saturn’s motion and retrograde returns. This is a Moon-sign rule, not a Western Sun-sign rule. Read the Hindi Sade Sati explanation for the same counting method.
Three phases and Shani Dhaiya
The first, or rising, phase places Saturn twelfth from the Moon. The middle, or peak, phase places it in the Moon sign. The last, or setting, phase places it second from the Moon. Dhaiya is a separate label for Saturn fourth or eighth from the Moon; it is not an extra Sade Sati phase. Our Shani Dhaiya guide explains this distinction. These labels do not establish that a period will be harmful.
Sade sati kab khatam hogi?
The next sign-change date in the table comes from a bounded daily scan. It describes the next change in Saturn’s sign, which may start another phase rather than end your Sade Sati. A retrograde return can revisit a previous sign and restart its classification. To answer when your final phase ends, follow the whole sequence relative to your natal Moon. Treat a daily date as an estimate rather than an exact ingress time.
Check personal context in Kundli 8
Use the Kundli form with your birth date, local time and place to establish the Moon sign. The personal workspace includes a Sade Sati section with current status, Saturn context and transit chronology where available. Access depends on the existing application rules. Dasha is a different timing system: the Hindi Saturn Mahadasha guide explains why Saturn Mahadasha and Sade Sati should not be treated as interchangeable.
Read the result without fear
Traditional interpretations connect Saturn with patience, responsibility and sustained effort. A sign-level table cannot predict an individual event or measure someone’s character. The Ascendant, wider chart, dasha and everyday circumstances add context. Do not make health, money or relationship decisions because a row carries a transit label, and do not feel obliged to buy a remedy.
Frequently asked questions
Does this tool need my birth details?
No. It shows all Moon signs. If you do not know yours, use the existing birth-chart preview first.
Which zodiac and ayanamsa does the table use?
It uses sidereal Lahiri positions from the app’s existing ephemeris, sampled daily at noon in Asia/Kolkata.
Is Dhaiya the same as Sade Sati?
No. Dhaiya places Saturn fourth or eighth from the Moon; Sade Sati uses the twelfth, first and second signs.
Is the next sign change my final end date?
Not necessarily. It may start another phase, and retrograde returns can revisit a sign. Read the Moon-relative sequence.
Does Sade Sati guarantee difficulties?
No. This is a traditional transit classification, not a guarantee of events or a reason for fear.
Is a personal PDF included here?
No. This public table has no personal report export. Existing application PDF features require eligible Full Access.
