Prepare your birth details
Enter the calendar date and local clock time recorded at birth, then select the correct birthplace. Check the country and city rather than choosing a similarly named place. The generator uses coordinates and timezone information to interpret that clock time. If the time is uncertain, record the uncertainty before interpreting the Ascendant or house placements. A noon placeholder is not a substitute for a known birth time.

Choose a chart layout and ayanamsa
North Indian charts keep houses in fixed positions, while South Indian charts keep signs fixed. East Indian layouts offer another familiar regional presentation. These styles change the drawing, not the birth moment or planetary positions. Keep the same ayanamsa when comparing charts: Kundli 8 uses N.C. Lahiri as its standard starting choice and offers other supported schools in the generator. Different settings can shift positions near a sign or nakshatra boundary. Krishnamurti (KP) is offered as an ayanamsa setting only, not the full KP house and sub-lord method.

Can I choose North, South or East chart styles?
Yes. Regional chart layouts are available in the generator. Changing layout does not change the underlying birth data.
Which ayanamsa should I compare?
Start with N.C. Lahiri and keep that setting consistent across charts. A different ayanamsa can change borderline placements.
