जन्म लग्न या Ascendant वह zodiac sign है जो जन्म के सही समय और स्थान पर पूर्वी क्षितिज पर उदित हो रहा था। Drik Panchang Janma Lagna को birth time पर eastern horizon से rising zodiac sign कहता है; AstroSage भी Rising Sign और Ascendant की यही मूल परिभाषा देता है।[1][2]

Lagna कोई ग्रह नहीं है। यह horizon और zodiac/ecliptic के intersection से निकला chart point है। Calculator पहले इसकी exact longitude निकालता है और फिर उसे 30° के sign sector में रखता है। इसलिए “मेरा Lagna मिथुन है” sign-level answer है; “मिथुन में 12°” अधिक precise degree-level output है।

Janma Lagna, Ascendant और Rising Sign—तीन अलग चीजें हैं?

नहीं। सामान्य birth-chart usage में Janma Lagna संस्कृत/Hindi label है, Ascendant technical English label और Rising Sign उसका conversational English नाम है। Britannica भी rising sign को जन्म क्षण में eastern horizon पर मौजूद zodiac के रूप में समझाता है।[3]

फिर भी sign और exact point को मिलाना नहीं चाहिए। Ascendant एक longitude point है; Rising Sign उस point का zodiac sector है। एक ही sign के शुरुआती और अंतिम degree पर जन्मे दो charts का label समान हो सकता है, लेकिन house cusps, divisional context या boundary sensitivity समान होना जरूरी नहीं।

Lagna, Moon Rashi और Western Sun sign में अंतर

इसलिए “मेरी राशि क्या है?” का एक universal answer नहीं है। Indian Vedic conversation में राशि अक्सर Chandra Rashi होती है; Western horoscope में sign अक्सर tropical Sun sign होता है; Lagna तीसरा, horizon-based reference है। Moon और Sun sign का detailed अंतर अलग guide में है।

3. Birth longitude जोड़ना: Greenwich reference को birthplace longitude के अनुसार local sidereal angle में बदला जाता है।
4. Eastern horizon solve करना: latitude, ecliptic obliquity और local angle से horizon/ecliptic intersection की tropical longitude मिलती है।
5. Sidereal sign बनाना: selected ayanamsa subtract करके longitude normalize होती है; फिर 30° sector से Lagna sign और remaining part से degree मिलता है।

यह description Kundli 8 के current calculation contract का conceptual summary है, कोई hand-calculation shortcut नहीं। एक online calculator अलग astronomy library या ayanamsa school use कर सकता है। Compare करते समय input values, timezone sign, coordinates और ayanamsa साथ लिखें।

सही Lagna निकालने के लिए कौन-से inputs चाहिए?

क्या हर दो घंटे में Lagna बदलता है?

बारह signs और लगभग एक दिन को औसत करें तो करीब दो घंटे प्रति sign का rough classroom estimate बनता है। इसे exact calculator बनाना गलत है। Drik Panchang स्पष्ट लिखता है कि Lagna duration हर location पर समान नहीं और place के साथ बदलती है।[5]

यह lifecycle disposable local database और real headless Chrome पर Generate, report, edit, reopen, duplicate, delete और zero-leftover cleanup के साथ verified है। Production अभी पुराने owner-approved release पर है; local timezone correction और यह article owner-approved curated deploy के बिना live-verified feature नहीं हैं। इसलिए किसी current live visitor को undeployed behavior की guarantee नहीं दी जा रही।
